What Connection Means

When we created the interior and exterior spaces in Frankfort at Pine Cottage and Fernhaven,
we had a vision this place. We didn't want you to feel entertained. We wanted you to feel connected. Connected to nature and to the people who you love to spend time with.
Summer, the magic time in Northern Michigan, is coming soon. Imagine it's here.
Open Air Living is connection to the outdoors in a way that’s simple and real, like sand still on your ankles at the end of the day; like sun-warmed shoulders; like the quiet hum you get after being outside for hours.

We want you to spend a day at Frankfort's Lake Michigan beach nearby, watching the water change color from morning to late afternoon. We want you to come back a little windblown, carrying towels and half-finished conversations, cheeks pink from sun and fresh air. We want you to have the kind of day where time feels bigger.
Maybe you go for a long walk and come home with a pocket full of stones. Maybe you ride bikes until you’re hungry in a way that feels almost unfamiliar. Maybe you chase a sunset, take the long way, stop because someone said, “Wait, look at that.”
Maybe it’s hiking, kayaking, swimming, wandering around downtown shopping and eating ice cream, or simply sitting outside with coffee and letting the morning stretch out. Whatever your version of outdoor adventure is, we want it to feel easy to choose.
And then, when the day is done, we want you to have a place to return to that feels like your home away from home. This is your connection back to yourself, to your family, to your friends. We can't wait to welcome you!
